The electronic starters ÖKO7 and ÖKO71 are designed for applications where the operation takes place under difficult starting conditions. A soft start system heats up the lamp cathodes until they reach their operating temperature. Following that, a controlled voltage pulse is then generated to strike the arc. This method of ignition prevents cathode damages and significantly lengthens the lamp life. The starter contains a safety monitoring system that shuts down the system in the event of a fault.
